Greetings in Jesus’ Name from Naples, Italy,
With this Prayer Letter to our supporting churches, and other interested folks, I would like to let you all know that things are well with Linda and I as we serve The Lord here in Italy. We are in the process of a big changeover in our military personnel/church membership. Maybe I should amend that to just say change vice changeover; folks are leaving but we have no new members yet to replace them. We just said goodby to some of our dear folks who have transferred out or departed to various parts of the globe, such as Houston, San Diego, and Berlin, Germany. That always leaves a big hole in our hearts, but that has been our particular type of ministry for all of these years now. There is another key family in the church who will be departing in just a month and five days.
During our church services we almost always have a time for giving a testimony of God’s goodness. A few weeks ago Bonsu (one or our African refugees who was saved many years ago in Ghana) said this, “This is the best place I have been in my Christian life; in this church. I have learned so much from all the teaching….” And, he once again said this to me, “I want you to tell those people, those churches that send you here, Thank You!”
Linda and I have a special (at least to us) anniversary on the 10th of March. On that day we will celebrate 30 years as missionaries with BIMI. Between our time as missionaries and in the Marine Corps, we have spent over half our lives overseas, far from friends and family serving the King of Kings as His ambassador. 1 Timothy 1:12 “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;”
In Christ’s Service,
Chuck and Linda Truitt
