We have been in the grip of winter for the past few weeks. It has been relatively cold after warmer winters the last few years. The break from school sends many of our church kids to the countryside or relatives’, and the Asian New Year puts a stop to all activity for about a week. But it is a good time as a change of pace, and we look forward to the changes that will occur after the New Year. The Asian New Year officially marks the start of spring, and temperatures do start to come up normally. The kids will all be back in school and we look for increased attendance in Sunday School.
We have had several visitors lately for whom we are praying. A couple of men have come and I have been able to talk to them about salvation. We have three potential families that we are praying for also. They are at different stages in getting close to God, but it is a blessing to have prospects to pray for.
Our faithful teens continue in their faithfulness. One teen that has come for about 5 years left for college in Taiwan this week. Our prayers will go after him. If anyone knows a good church in Taiwan, please let us know. He will be close to Taipei.
Thank you for your prayers. Please pray as we search for land to buy closer to the church than our present house.
